Ricotta & Veggie Mix by Alex

Suitable for babies 8 months

Instructions

Mix one prepared veggie Qubie (use your imagination: pumpkin or sweet potator or broccoli etc) with equal quantities of ricotta.

Serve to baby warm – yum!

“This was the only way to get Tyler to eat veggies.”

Quinoa and kumara

Ingredients

1 cup Quinoa
1 golden kumara or sweet potato

Method

Boil Quinoa in 2 cups of water until the husks come off in little spirals.
Peel kumara/sweet potato and steam until soft and mushy. Mix together.
I suggest adding a tiny bit of rice bran oil or olive oil as this makes the naturally occurring vitamin D & A much more available.

Prune Perfection

Ingredients

12 Prunes
Water

1 Qubie

Method

Pop the prunes into a saucepan with barely enough water to cover them and to ensure they don’t stick to the pan. Bring to the boil and simmer until nice and soft (approx 10 mins).

Strain off juice and set aside.

Puree Prunes and pop into your Qubies.

1 portion prunes is great to add to apples or pears or even to their cereal and will help keen little one ‘regular’.

Cool strained juice and give to baby to drink especially if a little constipated.

Thanks Nicole B!

2 tablespoons cooked fresh salmon – mashed

Method

Simply mix all the ingredients together.

Take one serving for baby and place the remainder into your Qubies and freeze for another day.

Note: you could use any fish you wanted :)
